WILLISTON, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The final weekend of the regular season kicked off in Williston Friday night for the Jamestown High School girl’s and boys’ basketball teams.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: JAMESTOWN 92, WILLISTON 41
It was all Blue Jays from start to finish to wrap up a season sweep of the Coyotes on Friday night. Jamestown snapped a six-game losing skid in the victory, improving to 9-10 overall and 8-10 against West Region opponents. The Jays are currently tied for sixth in the WDA standings with St. Mary’s and are a half-game back of Mandan for fifth and the final auto bid to the WDA tournament.
BOYS BASKETBALL: WILLISTON 73, JAMESTOWN 48
The Blue Jays couldn’t get the offense rolling on the road at Williston Friday night in a big win for the Coyotes. Jamestown falls to 9-10 overall and 8-10 in the West with the loss, now a half-game in front of Dickinson for the six seed. The Jays have locked in a home game for the WDA play-in rounds.
Jamestown takes on Watford City on the road Saturday afternoon.
