VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With the passage of North Dakota House Bill 1199 and the signature of Governor Doug Burgum, state funds will flow to 13 Career Technology Education (CTE) Centers in the state to make improvements to their respective facilities.

One of those is the Sheyenne Area Career Technology Center in Valley City. Director Derrick Bopp said this is the first step in making their improvement project plans a reality.

Bopp said to make this come to fruition, the Valley City School board and the city of Valley City will have to give their final approval for a land swap to meet the state’s dollar-for-dollar local match requirement.

The Valley City School board will discuss the land swap proposal during their regular board meeting on Wednesday, February 15th at 5:30pm.
