VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com) Hi-Liner gymnast Karina Olson turned in another impressive performance to lead Valley City in their latest meet.

The Hi-Liners placed seventh all-around at the Magi Bowl in Minot Friday, with a 124.250, edging Grand Forks and opening a path toward a state tournament berth.

Olson won top all-around honors, scoring a 37.125, nearly a full point ahead of the nearest competitor. She won the floor exercise,
scoring a 9.775, and the bars, with a 9.075.

Olson was also second on the beam with a 9.3, and seventh on the vault with an 8.975.

Jade Williams turned in a top-30 performance with a 30.625 all-around score.

The Hi-Liners next compete in Jamestown Friday.
