N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A weekend road trip out west brought about two wins for the Jamestown Blue Jays girls hockey team.

The Jays defeated Minot 2-1 on Friday behind goals from Elly Millender and Amber Schaack and went on to beat Williston Saturday afternoon by a 5-4 score.

With the two victories, the Jays now improve to 5-1 on the season and will next square off against Grand Forks Central at John L. Wilson Arena on Saturday. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
