JAMESTOWN, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  Ella Falk scored the final three points of the game, including a fall-away jumpshot with 17 seconds left that overtook a Midget lead, lifting the Jamestown Blue Jays to a 61-59 win in Jamestown Saturday.

The Jays led early 13-6, then fell behind by five, led by six, and last the lead late again in the second half before securing the come-from-behind win.  After the early lead, no team led by more than three possessions during the remainder of the game.

Caton Pearcy poured in 26 points for the Midgets to lead all scorers.

The Blue Jay offense stagnated in the middle of the second half, until Katie Falk found looks in the post on the back end of a well-executed high-low game from the wings.  Katie Falk tallied 10 of her team-high 17 in the second half.

Breanna Oettle hit five three-pointers for 15 total, a major spark for the Blue Jay offense.  Ella Falk finished with nine, including the game winner.

The game was sealed when Haylie Hakanson blocked an effort from Dickinson with just seconds left, then outdueled two Dickinson players for a loose basketball, allowing a timeout by the Jays to secure a possession.

Jamestown is now 3-3 in WDA play, and overtakes Dickinson for fith place.  The Jays improve to 4-3 overall.
