CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An informational meeting and social about the proposed Japanese Gardens and Visitors Center project for Main Street in Carrington is set for Tuesday, January 10 at 5 pm at the Chieftain.
Carrington Rainbow Gardens board members will speak on the project.
The $1.3 million dollar project will be available as a multi-use facility for community events, educational
seminars, trade delegations for the region, and an interpretive center to celebrate the history of the
former Rainbow Gardens, which were once a popular tourist site and local attraction.
Incorporated under the state of North Dakota and registered as 501(3) non-profit, the project recently
received a $300,000.00 grant through Strengthen ND. Additional funding will be sought as well.
