JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown City Council held its monthly meeting on Tuesday night.

At the meeting, the council held a first reading of an ordinance to amend and re-enact sections 15-42 of the City Code pertaining to the definition of group child care home or preschool facility.

The council also held a first reading of an ordinance to amend and re-enact Article 3, Chapter 15, of the City Code pertaining to the Fire Code Protection Code.

The Council held a public hearing and second reading concerning Ordinance No. 1567 to amend and re-enact sections 9-12, 9-13, and 23-38 of the City Code dealing with the building code and plumbing code.

The Council appointed James R. Weight and Brian D. Kilzer to serve on the Board of Adjustment to fill a three year
term to expire in January 2026.
