FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two men were killed in a two-vehicle crash late Friday afternoon on County Road 81 about four miles south of Grand Forks.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Melvin Finstrom, 86, of Buxton and Lloyd Thorsgard, 78 collided head on while they were negotiating a curve on County Road 81.

Finstrom was pronounced dead at the scene and Thorsgard was transported to Altru Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Finstrom was wearing his seat belt, however Thorsgard was not.

The crash remains under investigation by the Patrol.
