VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com) The Hi-Liner girls basketball team took their second loss Friday, while the wrestling team finished 2-2 in the Grand Forks Sertoma duals tournament.

Valley City was beaten by Wahpeton in girls basketball 70-62 Friday, falling to 0-2 in the Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) and overall play.  Wahpeton is now 2-0.

Next action for the Hi-Liners will be Tuesday, weather permitting, with West Fargo at the Hi-Liner Activity Center.

Hi-Liner wrestling finished 2-2 in the highly competitive Grand Forks Sertoma tournament.  Friday, the Hi-Liners topped Stewartville, MN 52-22, before falling to eventual champion Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville 42-27.

Saturday, the Hi-Liners fell to West Fargo Sheyenne 44-25 and rallied for a 36-35 win over Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale-Parkers Prairie.

Next action for the Hi-Liner wrestlers will be the Rumble on the Red tournament at the Fargodome December 29th and 30th.
