JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Bismarck Legacy is picked as the team to beat this season in West Region hockey and the Sabers lived up to those expectations with a 7-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Tuesday night at Wilson Arena.
Senior Josiah Will got things rolling with a goal 3:22 into the game and Legacy cruised from there. The Sabers outshot the Jays 50-21 and tallied three power play goals.
Jamestown got a third period goal from Sophomore Nate Walz, his first of the season. Senior Brooks Roaldson picked up his fourth assist of the season.
The Jays slip to 1-1 and hit the road for their next game with a trip to Bottineau/Rugby on Friday night, December 2nd. Legacy improves to 2-0-1.
