JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two teams from St. John’s Academy’s Middle School competed in the North Dakota Cyber Madness State Tournament which was held on November 18th. After placing 1st and 2nd in regional competition the teams earned a 3rd and 8th place finishes in the State competition.

Cyber Club team members consisted of Abby Ament, Tyler Bucton, Jack Bollinger, Kenny Dobson, Larkin Kleven, Luke Monson, Joe Trumbauer, and Henry Wolff.

This is the first year of competition for SJA’s Cyber Club team, which is coached by the Academy’s Science and STEM Teacher, Lindsey Cramer who stated, “I am really happy that we were able to provide this opportunity for our students. They worked incredibly hard and represented the Academy and our values exceptionally. I’m very proud of their effort and performance.”

As for the future of the Academy’s Cyber Club school principal, Jeff Trumbauer believes a bright future is ahead, “Extra-curricular activities like our Cyber Club are a valuable component to the education process for students. The Cyber Madness tournament provides a great opportunity for students who are interested in technology to develop and showcase their skills. I foresee that the Cyber Club will become a mainstay as one of our extra-curricular offerings.”
