(NDAgConnection.com) – Milk production in the United States during October totaled 18.9 billion pounds, up 1.2 percent from October 2021, according USDA’s latest milk production report.

Production per cow in the United States averaged 2,001 pounds for October, 17 pounds above October 2021.

The number of milk cows on farms in the United States was 9.42 million head, 31,000 head more than October 2021, and 1,000 head more than September 2022.
