JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Parks & Recreation Foundation is working to create more opportunities for residents.

Amy Walters is the Jamestown Parks & Recreation Executive Director.

She adds that they’re hoping to grow a matching grant opportunity to support their facilities as well.

The Foundation will be hosting their first “Festival of Trees” on Dec. 2nd at the Bunker in Jamestown.

Walters says the event will feature a public display of up to 30 fully decorated 4 foot to 7 foot holiday trees. These will be decorated by businesses, organizations, or individuals and viewing will be open house Nov. 28, 29, and 30 from 5 PM to 7 PM.

There will then be a social event and auction on Dec. 2nd to auction off trees and raise more funds for the foundation.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a tree or purchasing a ticket to the social can reach out to the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Office at office@jamestownparksandrec.com or 1002 2nd Ave SE.

The Festival of Trees event is held at:
