JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An after Thanksgiving Day staple in Jamestown, the Holiday Dazzle Parade has been organized by the Jamestown Downtown Association for the past 19 years.

The holiday parade, which returns Friday, Nov. 25, is currently seeking parade and float entries.

Lynn Lambrecht is the president of the Jamestown Downtown Association (JDA).

At this time, the JDA is seeking parade entries. Lambrecht added they have a cost to register and need them ahead of time to make everything work smoothly.

In previous years, the registration cost has been used to support the parade and advertising costs. Lambrecht says with that and recent sponsorships, they’ve been able to purchase new downtown Christmas lights which were installed last week by Jamestown City crews.

The cost to register a float for Jamestown Downtown Association members and non-profits is $25 and $35 for non-members. Sponsorships are also welcome for recognition or to request a specific position in the parade.

Awards will be given following the parade along 1st Ave. at the Gladstone Inn & Suites. Lambrecht says they’ll have coffee, cocoa, cookies, visits with Santa, and Christmas carols led by the Jamestown Chorlaires.
