JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone held their monthly meeting Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Discussion surrounding Salvation Army Assistance was brought forth by Director Mandi Freije.

Freije says $10,000 was approved for transient assistance and $4,500 for in-kind assistance. She says looking at their current budget, it appears the amounts are lower than what has previously been approved.

Freije says they want to ensure both Stutsman and Barnes County are able to utilize the funding provided by the Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone.

Approval for the funding was tabled until the board could explore the budget request and utilization of the funding for the zone.

The board also received an introduction to Kayla Grounds, Parent Aide in the Jamestown office, and Jennifer Koller, Eligibility Unit in the Valley City office.

Freije says they’ve also requested purchase of a copier/scanners for the Valley City office. The office is currently awaiting assembly of the new machine.
