Avalynn Fischer, 11 month old daughter of Josh and Paige Fischer, Lennox, SD, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Sanford Children’s Hospital, from complications of a surgical procedure.

Avalynn Nancy Fischer was born on October 31, 2021, at Avera, McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of Joshua and Paige (Brandvold) Fischer. She made her home with her parents in Lennox, SD.

With her parents, Avalynn attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Tea. Avalynn was the sweetest, smiling, happy, giggling baby. She loved adventures like walks and going to the zoo. She loved animals and her puppy dog, Zeke. She delighted in pointing out various objects that caught her attention and smiled when she shook her head “No”. She was the joy and delight of her parents and grandparents, who could not have loved her more.

Avalynn was preceded in death by her great-grandparents: Leslie Brandvold, Kenneth Taszarek and Mabel and Johnnie Fischer.

Grateful for having shared her life are her parents: Josh and Paige Fischer, Lennox; grandparents: Lisa Bendt, Sioux Falls, Carmen & John Henn, Hillsboro, ND, Harlay Fischer, Lennox and Mark & Sandy Brandvold, Valley City, ND; great-grandparents: Larry & Joyce Bendt, Sioux Falls, Lois Brandvold, Valley City, ND, Barb Taszarek, Edgeley, ND; uncles: Adam (Abby) Brandvold, Valley City, ND, Jordan (Elizabeth) Fischer, their children, Ellery & Jameson, Worthing, Brandon (Heather) Henn, Abercrombie, ND and Matthew Brandvold, Valley City, ND, and many other relatives and a host of family friends.

 Services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 24 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tea, SD. Visitation, also at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the family present, will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Public graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25 at Nordheim Cemetery, Kathryn, ND.
