Wilbert Irvin Dallmann, age 84, of Valley City, ND, died Monday, October 24th at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 31st at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30th from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and one hour before the service on Monday afternoon.  A prayer service will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday evening at the church.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.  An online guestbook and a livestream link for Willy’s funeral service will be available at www.lerudmathias.com 

Wilbert Irvin Dallmann, the son of Albert and Meleta (Reuther) Dallmann, was born June 2, 1938 on the family farm near Deisem, ND.  Willie grew up and attended grade school in Deisem, ND and in 1956 graduated from Edgeley High School.  On January 25, 1959, Willie married Betty Nelson at the family farm in Edgeley, ND.  The couple moved to Valley City where they lived and raised their family.  Willie worked for the North Dakota Department of Transportation as a Project Manager for 47 years.  He also drove semi for Meyer Milk Transport for 17 years.  During this time, Willie was also very proud to serve his country in the North Dakota National Guard.  Willie and Betty enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and he enjoyed working on Minneapolis Moline Tractors.  He enjoyed a good cup of coffee every afternoon with his coffee group after tinkering in his shop.  Willie was a very active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City, was a Past State Commander and Life Member of the Am Vets, a member of the Valley City Eagles Club, the Bridge City Cruisers Car Club and a lifelong member of the Western Minnesota Stream Threshers in Rollag, MN and the New Rockford Steam Threshers.  Willie’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and was especially fond and proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Willie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty, Valley City, ND; his 3 children, Brenda (Jim) Veach, Valley City, ND, Kevin (Allyson) Dallmann, Isle, MN and Nancy (Joey) Botner, Litchville, ND; 10 grandchildren, Danielle (Roger) Hanson, Jim (Tracy) Brantl, Melanie (Brian) McGee, Laura (Andy) Ciulla, Eric (Jackie) Dallmann, Keith Dallmann, Allysa Dallmann, Ryan (Amanda) Botner, Lacey (Randy) Klein and Kelsey (Scott Kalina) Botner; 15 Great-grandchildren, Jackson Brantl, Vincent McGee, Harper Hanson, Morgan Hanson, Lenex McGee, Asher Brantl, Will Botner, Bash Botner, Lucy Botner, Gianna Botner, Ada Botner, Finley Klein, Rowdy Klein, Otto Ciulla and Roman Kalina; one brother, Brent Dallmann, Fargo, ND; numerous nieces and nephews; two very special friends, Terry Gortmaker and Richard Smith.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Eugene Dallmann and Mark Dallmann, one sister Marilyn Vossler and a grandson Matt Brantl.  Funeral arrangements by the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home of Valley City.
