JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The South Central Safety Association (SCSA) will be holding a kickoff event at the Gladstone Inn on Nov. 2.

Professionals from a variety of different businesses in Stutsman County came together to form the SCSA as a way to help reinforce safety among their community and county partners.

Michael Hust works for Collins Aerospace and is the president of the newly formed board of directors.

The SCSA was formed earlier this year and is comprised of Hust as president, Vice-President Gina Thornton (John Deere Seeding Group), Secretary Jenna Bredahl (Jamestown Regional Medical Center), Treasurer Kim Murray (RM Stoudt, Stoudt- Miller & Precision Results Manufacturing), Dan Beckman (Agri-Cover, Inc.), Tanya Ostlie (Hillerud Construction), Josh Schroeder (FEI), and Jeff Mooridian (North Dakota Workforce Safety and Insurance).

While many members of the board are located in Jamestown and Valley City, Hust says they have been garnering interest from other communities in the region.

The South Central Safety Association will be hosting a kickoff meeting starting at 10 AM with some casual networking and socializing. Hust says the board will then go over what they’re association does and schedule future meetings. Participants will also be able to meet and hear from each of board members on their work forming the SCSA.

The kickoff will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Gladstone Inn & Suites in Jamestown.
