LAMOURE, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Number one ranked Lamoure-Litchville-Marion is one step closer to repeating as state champions in North Dakota 9-Man football after a 44-0 win over Maple River on Saturday in round two of the 2022 playoffs.

The Loboes got it going early as they forced a quick three-and-out by the Raiders to start the game. LLM blocked the punt and that set up a five-play 22-yard drive that was capped off when Senior QB Anthony Hanson scampered in from three yards out.

After another Maple River three and out, the Loboes went 75 yards in seven plays and finished off the drive when Hanson hit Senior Tate Mart in stride on a 62-yard TD pass.

Senior RB Brady Lettenmaier tacked on a three-yard TD run in quarter two and Hanson and Mart hooked up again right before half on an 18-yard TD pass to boost the lead to 30-0 at halftime.

The Loboes took the second half kickoff and moved the ball into the end zone on a 55-yard drive that took eight plays, and was polished off when Lettenmaier charged in from three yards out.

LLM put the game away when Hanson found Senior Garrett Hebl early in the fourth quarter on an 18-yard TD pass.

The undefeated Loboes racked up 336 yards of offense and held Maple River to 122 yards.

LLM, 9-0, will host Surrey in the quarterfinals on Saturday, October 29th at 2:00 pm at Townsend Field in LaMoure. The Mustangs knocked off St John 30-6.
