JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Connor George was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of two in Oct. 2020.

His mother Brooke George immediately sprang to action, starting a chapter of The Cure Starts Now in Jamestown to help fund cancer cure research.

George says the organization has a specific approach when it comes to utilizing the funding raised by different chapters globally.

The chapter has held some smaller fundraising and awareness raising events previously, but George says her first big organized fundraiser will be held Oct. 29 in Jamestown.

The event starts at McElroy Park with the fun run at 10 AM, followed by the chili cookoff, games, contests, and more at Hidden River Acres until 2 PM. All proceeds will go to The Cure Starts Now.
