VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 50th annual St. Catherine School Fall Auction will be held at the Valley City Eagles Club Friday, November 4th. The silent auction and bake sale start the evening off. Proceeds raised from the auction will be use for various improvements and enhancements at St. Catherine School.

The theme for this year’s auction is “How Sweet It Is!.” This fundraiser has been successful in past years. This “sweetness” has been cooked up by the generosity of the community and surrounding area businesses, parents, families, and the great support of the members of the parish of St. Catherine of Alexandria over the last 50 years.

The “Kick Off” breakfast will be held Sunday, October 30th. The Knights of Columbus will cook up scrumptious eggs, sausage and other tantalizing items for the public to enjoy. The cost is a free will donation and will be offered in the Church Hall from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Many favorite extra opportunities have been brought back to help with this celebration. One of these would be a raffle. We will sell 300 tickets for $10 each for a chance to win $550 from Bank Forward, $250 from Ivy Real Estate Group, and $150 gift card donated by Valley Meat Supply. Raffle tickets will be sold by school family members, or you can purchase them at the school office.

Once you get to the auction you will be able to purchase for $10 one of the 100 magnets to win the chance of winning two (2) $250. Throughout the evening one will find many “sweet” deals during the silent auction and the live auction. Baskets will be filled with various items for the silent auction which will happen from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The live auction starts at 6:30pm. To see what some of the “ goodies” which have been donated go to the school website. Like in years before there will be a “mystery” item with an opportunity to win some money. Stay tuned for more information about this special night.
Something new, in honor of our 50 years, will be a cookbook available to purchase. One of the school’s mother compiled 342 recipes from the families of the school and from alumni. It’s sure to be a “sweet” thing to have around your house and would make a great gift.

We are exceptionally grateful for all donations to our Fall Auction. The school relies heavily on these funds to continue to serve our students and community. We appreciate all the support that we receive. Know that the students and staff of St. Catherine School continue to pray for all the people of the great community of Valley City.

This evening will be “Sprinkled” with a lot of fun! So, put Friday, November 4th at the Valley City Eagles Club on your calendar for a time to celebrate the St. Catherine School 50th Annual Fall Auction. It’s an event that you “Donut” want to miss. ‘How Sweet It Is!
