(NewsDakota.com) In the first game of the season for both teams, the Carrington Cardinals beat Region two team Dakota Prairie Knights 72-37 last Friday night (Nov. 30th). The Cards were down at halftime 25-23, but scored 49 points in the second half, the Knights only scored 12. The Cards are 1-0, The Knights fall to 0-1.
Carrington had four players in double figures, leading the way was 6′ 5 Senior Scott Burnham with 16 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. Sophomore Seth Abaurrea was right behind him with 15 points, three assists, and two steals. Senior Taylor Skytland had 13 points and Senior Tysen Rosenau had 10. Senior Austin Johnson had nine rebounds, three assists and four points.
Carrington was 31/63 for 49% shooting from the field, 40% from the free throw line.
