Goals came early and often for the University of Jamestown women’s soccer team in a 6-0 win over Mount Marty (S.D.) University at the Jimmie Turf Field Wednesday evening.
Gaby Sarkis (SO/Campbelltown, Sydney, Australia) scored twice while Kamryn Fiscus (SR/Yakima, Wash.) and Emersen Kimball (FR/Graham, Wash.) also had goals in a span of 7:11 as the Jimmies led 4-0 just under nine-and-a-half minutes into the game.
Kimball (18th minute) and Isabel Vaca (FR/Lake Tapps, Wash.) (43rd minute) gave Jamestown a 6-0 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, Kimball completed the hat trick with a 46th minute strike, then notched her fourth of the match in the 53rd minute. Hannah Hynek (FR/Grand Forks, N.D.) made it 9-0 Jimmies with her goal in the 86th.
Tea Pence (FR/Hamilton, Ohio) and Anna Cole (FR/Laurel, Mont.) each made two saves in 45 minutes of action. Shots were 18-6 in favor of UJ.
Jamestown (9-4-1 overall, 8-0-0 GPAC) travels to Dordt (Iowa) next Wednesday for a 5 p.m. match.
