D.C. (AP) – More positive statistics for the state of North Dakota. On the heels of being named the best run state in the nation by 24/7 Wall Street, three cities in North Dakota are among the top 10 in the nation with the lowest unemployment rates last month.
The U.S. Labor Department says the capital of Bismarck had the lowest rate among the 372 largest U.S. cities, at 2.2 percent. Bismarck is followed by Fargo at 2.8 percent and Grand Forks at 3.1 percent.
The Labor Department says unemployment rates declined last month in more than half of the 372 largest cities – further evidence of steady improvement in the job market.
