JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Bayer Family makes a memorial donation in honor of Dale Bayer to the Washington Elementary PTO playground project.

Dale Bayer (1934-2012) started his career at Jamestown Public Schools in 1964. Over the course of his service, he was Principal for several decades at Washington Elementary in addition to Principal at Franklin Elementary and Lincoln Elementary. He retired in 1995.

On Friday, October 7th, 2022, Corey Bayer and his wife, Jodi, and their kids, Carson and Isaac, presented a check to the Washington Elementary PTO for $1,000 on behalf of the Bayer family in memory of Dale Bayer. PTO members Cassie DuBray, Katrina Christansen, and Teacher, Mrs. Brenda Jensen, were grateful to receive the donation.

Washington Elementary PTO is working to raise funds to remove and replace the remaining structure with one that will accommodate all of the students, is safe, full of fun for all users, and will meet the requirements for the school district. The estimated cost for the playground project is $90,000. The new equipment will include several platforms, slides, bridges, poles, and climbing structures.

Upcoming October fundraisers include the Soup’er Fundraiser and a Good Network Facebook Fundraiser https://www.facebook.com/donate/331119875892215/

Donations made to the Washington Elementary PTO are tax deductible. All donors will receive recognition on a sign posted on the playground and through local media sources.
