JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Flu season is fast approaching and Central Valley Health (CVHD) will soon begin offering the flu vaccine.

Flu shots will be available at CVHD starting in October. Director of Nursing Kim Lee says the high dose for 65+ and regular dose vaccine will be available.

Lee says they will begin with walk-ins starting Monday, Oct. 3 through Friday. She added preregistration is highly encouraged.

CVHD will also be offering a community flu shot clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Jamestown Civic Center.

Lee says they’ll also have the bivalent booster COVID-19 vaccine available.

CVHD is also currently scheduling dates to be at all schools in Stutsman and Logan counties. Staff will also be traveling to many businesses in town to provide the flu shot. Those who are homebound can also schedule to have a nurse come and provide you the vaccine.

If you’d like to schedule a visit or pre-register for the clinic, call CVHD 701-252-8130 or visit centralvalleyhealth.org for updated information.
