JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Arts Center will be one of many worldwide hosts of the annual Manhattan Short Film Festival Sept. 30 & Oct. 1.

“Film lovers around the world will unite to view and vote for the 10 finalists in the 25th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival,” the organization states. “MANHATTAN SHORT is the only event of its kind. The Final Ten screen simultaneously across the world during a ten-day period, with the Best Film and Best Actor awards determined by ballots cast by the audiences in each participating venue.”

The Jamestown Arts Center has played host numerous times and will have two showings open to the public at 6:30 PM both Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

“Join when over 100,000 film lovers unite in over 400 cinemas across 6 continents to view and vote on the finalists films in the 25th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival,” the Arts Center added.

The Final Ten MANHATTAN SHORT finalists hail from eight countries with films from Scotland, Chechia & Slovakia, Spain, Australia, Finland and Lebanon, alongside two films each from France and USA. These Final Ten Films represent the best short films from among 868 submissions from 70 countries received by MANHATTAN SHORT for 2022.
