VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Almost two years after a fire left the Pederson family with a total loss, they’re ready to welcome everyone back with a grand reopening.
Gail Pederson first opened Pederson Pottery with her husband in 2007. She says it’s something they both developed a passion for when they were in college.
Then in 2020, disaster struck when a fire left their studio as a total loss.
Because the studio was connected to an old dairy barn, it was not insurable.
Thanks to a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, Pederson says they were able to rebuild and bring the studio back to life.
The studio also has some history attached.
A grand opening celebration has been set for Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept 25. There will be some demos, a “fire sale”, and so much more.
The Pederson Pottery studio is located 2 miles south of Valley City at 3646 117th Ave SE. If you have questions or want more information, contact Gail Pederson at 701-845-3874 or like their Facebook page.
