Oakes defeated the Oak Grove Grovers 50-14 at West Fargo Highschool.
Oakes wasted little time getting the action started, Oakes recovered an onside kick to start the game. Trey Skoglund capped the opening drive off with a 1 yard rushing touchdown. From that point on it was all Tornadoes. The Oakes defense and special teams forced 9 total turnovers. We saw 2 blocked punts, 4 fumbles, and 3 interceptions.
Oakes had standout performances from Xavier Vossler who threw 4 touchdown passes and ran one in himself
Joe Schaefer who had 2 fumble recoveries, a sack, and recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown.
Trey Skoglund who had one rushing touchdown, one receiving touchdown, and added on 5 total tackles and a tackle for loss.
Oak Grove had two rushing touchdowns on the night, one from Donnabaur, and another from Griffin Olson.
Oakes advances to 3-0 on the year and will take on Park River area at another neutral location.
