VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Minnesota man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted a Peace Officer and an Emergency Responder in Valley City just before midnight on Thursday, September 1st.

Police Chief Phil Hatcher said officers were dispatched to Mythaler Hall on the VCSU campus for a report of an intoxicated male on the 3rd floor. He said the man became combative once first responders arrived on the scene. Hatcher said after the man arrived at Mercy Hospital he continued to be combative with the ER staff.

The Barnes County State’s Attorney’s office has charged 18-year-old Gordon-lee Ma Enyart-Martinez of Ottertail, M.N. with Assault on a Peace Officer and Emergency Responder as well as Contact by Bodily Fluids, both are Class “C” Felonies.
