quilt-2

A quilt with a variety of Jamestown and buffalo t-shirt designs is being raffled off to help the World’s Largest Buffalo repainting project.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A unique quilt is being raffled off to raise money to help with expenses in repainting the World’s Largest Buffalo.

Deb Lee with the Dakota Store in Jamestown says they’re helping oversee the raffle of the t-shirt quilt to raise money.

Lee says more than 36 t-shirts were used, all with Jamestown and buffalo references on them. Mary Geffery helped design and stitch the quilt to be raffled off.

The quilt is on display at the Frontier Village Dakota Store site because of the amount of traffic and current or former Jamestown residents who stop and visit.

Raffle tickets will be sold through September with a drawing planned for Oct. 3. All proceeds will go towards the Dakota Thunder refurbishing project. Tickets can be purchased from the Dakota Store in Jamestown at 601 1st Ave S, Frontier Village Dakota Store, or by contacting Deb Lee at (701) 269-2689.
