Carol Ann (Himmerich) Kimble was born December 20, 1943 on a farm near Rogers, ND, to Jacob and Mathilda (Everding) Himmerich. She was the youngest of eight children. Carol graduated from North Central of Barnes High School in 1961. After graduation, she worked in Valley City and Jamestown before moving to California in 1965.
On March 12, 1966, Carol was united in marriage to Larry Kimble in Sacremento, California. They had four children. In 1970 the family moved back to the farm north of Pillsbury, North Dakota. In 1971 they moved into Pillsbury.
She served as auditor of the town of Pillsbury for many years. Carol did various jobs in the Pillsbury area and spent her time volunteering. She was a member of St. Agatha’s Catholic Church in Hope, ND.
Carol is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Tracy (Gay) Kimble, Parker, Colorado; Nicole (Juan) Godina, Denver, Colorado and Jason (Savanah) Kimble, Fargo, North Dakota; brothers, Alton Himmerich
and Harry Himmerich, both of Valley City, North Dakota ; sister, Darlene Friestad, Valley City; a special
family friend, Nancy Hartwig, West Fargo, North Dakota; 10 grandchildren, one step granddaughter and
6 great grandchildren.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, a son Tony, her brothers Robert and Ephriam; and her sisters
Betty and Janet.
The funeral service for Carol will be Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Agatha’s Catholic
Church, Hope. A prayer service will be held 7 pm Wednesday at the church. Visitation will be one hour
before the service at the church. Burial will be in Page Cemetery. Carol passed away Sunday, August 28,
at Sanford on Broadway, Fargo.
