JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Dairy Queen owners Kelly & Tricia Seckerson presented one of their employees scholarship funding to further her education.

Briallen Thu of Buchanan works at the Jamestown location and applied for the unique program the Seckerson’s opted for two years ago.

Seckerson says employees who have worked at Dairy Queen for at least two years while opted into the program are able to receiving the funding that she and her husband provide.

Seckerson says they send the check to the school that their employee will be attending. She added Thu will continue to work at Dairy Queen during her summers and holiday breaks from college.

She pointed out that employees who opt for the scholarship don’t have to attend a four-year school.

Thu will be attending college in Plymouth, MN.
