HOPE, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Despite a weather delay in the first half on Friday night at Hope-Page High School, the #1 ranked LaMoure-Litchville/Marion Loboes opened up the season with a 50-0 victory over Maple River.
The reigning state champs in 9B wasted no time flexing their muscle in the opening game of the season as LLM scored 42 points in the first half against Maple River. The Loboes were led by senior wide receiver Colton Ness who had five receptions for 122 yards and four touchdowns. Quarterback Anthony Hanson was 9-for-13 through the air with 189 yards passing and four touchdowns. Hanson also had a rushing touchdown for five total TD’s on the day.
LLM improves to 1-0 on the young season and now travels to Enderlin to take on the Eagles. Enderlin defeated Tri-State 44-20 to begin its season. The Loboes first home game of the year is September 3rd against Hatton/Northwood.
