VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public Schools superintendent Josh Johnson received several calls from local patrons inquiring about the school district’s position on the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance prior to school board meetings.
Johnson said, “The Valley City Public School Board has been reciting the pledge of allegiance prior to school board meetings for the past six years and will be continuing this practice during the upcoming school year.”
The Valley City Public School Board had the local honor guard present the colors before they and other members of the community recited the Pledge of Allegiance at their school board meeting on August 17th in Valley City.
District 24 State Senator Mike Wobbema and Representative Dwight Kiefert attended the school board meeting and recited the Pledge of Allegiance with the audience as well.
