OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Back to School is right around the corner and Dr. Tara Schmitz with Thrifty White Pharmacy in Oakes says there are some things you can do to help get your kids ready.
One of these tips is reviewing vaccinations and ensuring you’re up to date.
Schmitz says a comprehensive eye exam is also recommended for preschoolers age 3-5 and school age kids over 6. She says most of the time, this can be accomplished during sports physicals.
She says healthy sleep habits are also important.
Healthier diets and eating breakfast are also great ways to get into the back to school habit. She says it’s also key to keep open communication with your children.
