GARRISON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The opening day of the 2022 North Dakota State Class B Legion Baseball tournament was held at Titans Field on Wednesday with four games, here are the results:

Hazen 7  Renville County 3

Langdon 11  Carrington 1, 5 innings

The Langdon Red Sox Post 98 blasted seven home runs and rolled past Carrington Post 25 in five innings, winning be a walk-off home run in the bottom of the fifth inning by Jack Romfo. At the plate for Langdon, Jack Romfo was 3-for-4, with two solo home runs, a single, two RBI and scored three times. Brady Regner also had two home runs, including a three-run shot and a two-run shot, five RBI and scored twice. Tucker Welsh, Cooper Zimmer and Gage Goodman all had solo shots. Winning pitcher was Zimmer, working two innings, Welsh came in and worked three innings. Hudson Schmitz started for Carrington, two innings, 44 pitches, six runs, five earned. Trent Ekren work two and two-thirds, 57 pitches, five earned runs. Carrington drops to 10-11 overall, Langdon improves to 19-3 overall.

Garrison 1  Lamoure 0

Jack Bright pitched a dandy game on the mound for Garrison, a complete game on 120 pitches, no runs, 14 strikeouts, four hits and three walks to help Garrison knock off the two-time defending champs. Lamoure had just four hits, two singles from Colton Ness, one single from Garrett Hebl and one from Corbin Potts. Garrison scored their one and only run in the top of third. Ty Iglehart scored the run, Gunner Jacobs knocked him in. Bright also had a single as did Jamison Rime. Connor Johnson pitched a great game as well for Lamoure, working six innings, 116 pitches, one earned run, 11 strikeouts, three hits and five walks. Tate Mart came in and worked an inning on 21 pitches.  Lamoure drops to 21-6, Garrison improves to 24-11.
