JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Breastfeeding Coalition (JRVBC) is hosting their first ever mom-to-mom breastfeeding support group kickoff event today, July 26, from 3:30-6:00pm at the Sertoma Shelter of McElroy Park.

All future, present, and experienced moms (kids, too) are invited to come and receive education, get support from the certified lactation counselors (CLCs), and meet other local breastfeeding moms. The event will include resources, snacks, door prizes, and a free bounce house (courtesy of Lamaze Childbirth Education).

The mission of the JRVBC is to improve the health and wellbeing of the community by protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding through education, outreach, advocacy, and service. With that, the members of the coalition are pleased to provide this opportunity for the families of the James River Valley.
