CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City State basketball programs have their first home doubleheader of the season Saturday at the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse when former DAC opponent Dickinson State comes to town.

The women tip at 2 p.m. with the men to follow at 4 p.m. Coverage of both games can be heard on Dakota Country Radio (1490, 1220, 1600) and NewsDakota.com, with pregame starting at about 1:40 p.m.

The Viking women enter the game with a 2-1 record, coming off an exhibition loss to St. Cloud State on Wednesday night. It was the final of three straight games against NCAA Division II competition. Dickinson State also enters Saturday with a 2-1 record, both wins coming over University of Manitoba in October.

On the men’s side, VCSU sports a 3-1 record entering Saturday’s contest. The Vikings have been off since Saturday when they knocked off Viterbo by a score of 74-61. Dickinson State is 1-1, beating University of Manitoba and losing to Black Hills State.
