(NewsDakota.com)- After a disappointing opening round loss to West Fargo on Thursday the Jamestown Blue Jays responded to beat Bismarck. For the third time this season the Jays swept the Demons in three sets; 32-30, 25-8, 25-18.

Jamestown jumped out on the Demons quickly in the opening set and took a 11-1 lead. After a timeout by Demon Coach Jessica Nichols, Bismarck rallied to tie the first set at 15. 

The two teams went back and forth down the stretch with 13 ties before the Jays ended it at 32-30. Jamestown had four set points before they were able to escape with a win.

In the second set, the Jays rolled over the Demons to the tune of a 25-8 beat down. Jamestown was able to close out the match with a 25-18 win in the third.

Siri Jystad led the way with 11 kills. Addie Eamon chipped in with nine. Josie Hegerle finished with match-high five aces.

The Jays will play Fargo Shanley in the consolation championship tomorrow at 12pm. The game will be broadcasted on KQDJ-AM 1400 and streamed on NewsDakota.com.
