JAMESTOWN, ND. (jimmiepride.com) – University of Jamestown Athletic Director Austin Hieb has announced Amy Golding as the new Jimmie women’s wrestling head coach.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Amy join the Jimmie Family,” said Hieb. “She brings an extensive knowledge of wrestling and has achieved a tremendous amount in the sport. Amy is a great addition to our department’s already impressive coaching staff.”
Golding comes to UJ after building an impressive amateur wrestling resume. She is a 16-time USA National Champion, a WCWA College National Champion, a silver medalist at the US Open and USA World Team Trials, and a Junior World bronze medalist. “I am very excited to begin my journey as a Jimmie,” Golding said. “It is my honor to take such a great team and help guide them to greatness in all things–academics, wrestling, and life. Thank you to the UJ staff for hiring me and believing in me–I can’t wait to show everyone what we can do together. Let’s go Jimmies!”
Since 2015, Golding has worked as a wrestling coach and freestyle clinician as well as a personal trainer and fitness instructor in Troy, NY. She graduated from SUNY College at Brockport in 2013 with bachelor’s degrees in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children and Elementary Education.
