JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Anne Carlsen Center is once again bringing in Zot Artz to Jamestown as part of the Downtown Arts Market on August 4th.
Anne Carlsen Activities Director Denise Jensen says they haven’t been able to hold the event since 2019 due to the COVID pandemic.
Created by Dwayne Szot, his inspiration for the tools was his own experience with a foster brother and sister who had Cerebral Palsy. He told NewsDakota in 2019 his inspiration for Zot Artz was his own experience with a foster brother and sister who had Cerebral Palsy.
During the event, Jensen says they’ll take a 20×20 portion of the street next to the Hansen Arts Park that will be free for any age and ability to fill with their own art using the Zot Artz tools.
She says the end product is always inspiring and a representation of their mission at the Anne Carlsen Center.
Because it’s been a few years since the last event, Jensen says she’s excited to have Zot Artz back. She adds she’s appreciative of the communities support in bringing events like this to the area.
