The memorial service for Beatrice “Bea” Peterson, 94, of Oriska, North Dakota will be 2pm, Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church, Oriska. Beatrice passed away on March 9, 2022 at her home in Oriska.

Beatrice Maydelle (Wolsky) Peterson was born on May 1, 1927 to Melvin & Ernestine (Ussatis) Wolsky in Nome, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm near Nome and graduated from there in 1944. She moved to Minneapolis and attended Beautician’s School there. She married Robert Peterson on January 1st, 1947 in Moorhead, MN. They moved to Valley City and then Oriska, ND where they raised their seven children. Beatrice was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oriska. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and working in her garden.

Beatrice is survived by her children Thomas, Oriska; Rodney, Page, ND; Kathy Nelson, Cleveland, OH; Joel (Debbie), Fargo and Robert of Oriska. Also surviving her are 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and her brother, Melroy Wolsky, Oriska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert; her son, Terry; her daughter, Linda (Rick) Huseby, daughter-in-law, Diane Peterson, son-in-law, Mark Nelson; and her brothers, Wallace & Wesley Wolsky.
