N.J. (NewsDakota.com) A number of area Red Cross volunteers have been helping victims of “Hurricane Sandy” since the storm hit the east coast two weeks ago.
Barb & Paul Henke (Han-key) of Valley City drove an emergency Red Cross vehicle to Rockaway, New Jersey to feed hungry people.
She and her husband Paul slept in a staff shelter in the basement of a Hicksville, Long Island New York church.
Henke said it’s time to give back because we always appreciate it when people come to North Dakota to help us during a flood. Barb and Paul Henke (Han-Key) will be flying back to North Dakota tonight.
