VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In the District 24 Republican Primary, incumbent representatives Cole Christensen and Dwight Kiefert advanced to the November 8th general election.

Christensen received 1,027 votes and Kiefert got 846 votes to advance while Phil Kleymann received 748 votes in the 2022 primary. Due to redistricting the District 24 representatives will have to run in November of 2022 and again in November of 2024.

In the Barnes County District 4 Commission primary incumbent Vicky Lovell received 173 votes and Ron Manson got 132 votes while Barry Borg received 102 votes. Lovell and Manson will face each other in the November 8th general election.

In Barnes County District 3 Commission primary incumbent Bill Carlblom received 204 votes and Eldred Knutson got 134 votes. The two will face each other in the November 8th general election.

In Barnes County District 3 Commission primary incumbent Shawn Olauson got 241 votes and Corey Neseth received 119. The two will face each other in the November 8th general election.

In the Barnes County Sheriff primary race incumbent Randy McClaflin received 1,569 votes and Wade Hannig received 582 votes. The two will face each other in the November 8th general election.

All three Barnes County measures passed as well as the two city sales tax extension advisory votes for the city of Valley City.
