N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Local authorities responded to a house fire early Friday morning in the northwest sector of downtown Jamestown.

Jamestown Fire Department and Jamestown Police Department were dispatched to a two-story, single-family dwelling at 616 2nd Ave. NW around 6:50 a.m. this morning, according to Lt. Bruce Judd, supervisor with the Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center.

The damage appears to have extended to both floors of the home and into the attic, with no injuries apparent at the scene.

An Emergency Response Vehicle from the Buffalo Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross arrived on scene at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The JFD was also dispatched around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning to 1108 6th Ave. SE for another fire call, but cleared the scene quickly without any incident, according to Judd.
