GULF SHORES, Ala. (jimmiepride.com)– Three members from the University of Jamestown track and field teams will be competing at the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships beginning Wednesday at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
Jordynn Toliver (SO/Box Elder, S.D.) qualified for the women’s heptathlon, which begins Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the 100-meter hurdles. Four of the seven events will be held Wednesday, with the high jump, shot put, and 200 meter dash to follow. The final three events (long jump, javelin, and 800 meters) start Thursday at 10:30 a.m. She enters the competition tied for eighth among all qualifiers with 4546 points.
Jorden Morales (SO/Phoenix, Ariz.) qualified for the men’s discus, which begins at 5 p.m. Thursday. He is 25th among the qualifiers with a top throw of 158 feet, 10 inches.
Braedon Gumke (JR/Watford City, N.D.) qualified for the men’s pole vault, which will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. He is tied for 17th with a top clearance of 15 feet, 5 inches.
