JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Finance & Legal Committee discussed recommending the city attorney to draft a first right of refusal or purchase agreement for an outlot in the Southwest.

Mayor Dwaine Heinrich says the 2nd Addition Outlot A would be located on the south side of the Interstate.

Mayor Heinrich says the landowner has been cooperative and is interested in moving forward pending the city’s decision.

The agreement would give the city a guarantee price of sale if the landowner were to ever sell. He added this would allow the city and landowner to decide on either a right to refusal or sale.

The committee unanimously approved the draft.

Committee Member Brian Kamlitz was not present.

The Finance & Legal Committee also authorized the advertisement of bids for the purchase of one tractor for the Wastewater Department and a Refunding Improvement Water for the State Hospital Water Main District.
