JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than 600 were surveyed by the Jamestown Parks & Recreation Department to better understand what the community would like to see from them moving forward.

Executive Director Amy Walters says because there was a big response of surveys submitted, it took them some time to compile it in a way that was digestible.

Walters says a big talking point of the survey was the facilities, with a focus on bathrooms at the parks.

She added they’ve put aside funding to start the renovations this summer of park restrooms, but expects there to be more work as they go forward.

At the Wilson Arena, another Jamestown Parks & Recreation Facility, Walters says they’ve officially melted down the ice and will now complete needed renovations.
