funeral service for Larry W. Jacobson, 60, Kathryn, ND will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Kathryn.  Burial with military honors will be in Waldheim Cemetery, rural Kathryn.

            Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

            Larry Wayne Jacobson was born April 30, 1952 in Valley City, ND, the son of Conrad and Rosella (Swenson) Jacobson.  He was a graduate of Kathryn High School.  On May 27, 1970, he enlisted in the US Navy.  He served his country during the Vietnam War and was discharged February 11, 1972.

            He worked for his best friend, Myron Clauson, for a number of years.  Larry did some carpentry work and farming.

            Larry died at his home on November 4, 2012.  He is survived by his special friend, Susan Roberg; two sisters, Connie (Dale) Jenson of Park River, ND and Arlene (Jim) Jones of Kathryn; and a brother, Ronald (Karen) Jacobson of Mandan, ND.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Terry and LeRoy; and his sister, Donna Welch.
